The Role of Functional Medicine
First and foremost, in functional medicine, we believe that inflammation starts in the gut. If we suspect you have inflammation in your body, we will test for that. Some of those tests include food sensitivity testing, either testing or through an elimination diet, a stool test, SIBO test, and fructose intolerance testing.
But it’s not just patients with suspected inflammation who can benefit from a stool test. A stool test can be helpful for all gastrointestinal patients, people with food sensitivities and anyone we suspect might have a leaky gut.
I would also really recommend going for regular visits to a qualified chiropractor. Chiropractic care helps with so much more than just back pain!
