About Veronica Worley
Veronica Worley helps men and women age gracefully and beautifully by getting to the root cause of belly fat, energy loss, hormone, and mineral imbalance. She specializes in mineral imbalance, which can be the root of weight gain, energy loss, and hormone imbalance.
Once tested, you learn the exact process needed to get the body back in balance and overcome disease and symptoms. She does this by using functional lab testing, food, and lifestyle changes so you can get well and stay well.
Like many holistic Health Practitioners, Veronica’s path to helping others feel better, began when she, herself, started having many health issues a few years ago. Doctors couldn’t figure out the causes of symptoms.
After discovering that a mineral imbalance was at the root of her fibroids, migraines, brain fog, hormone imbalance, depression, and energy loss, she chose natural methods and worked to overcome her issues. And she lost over 30 pounds in the process!
Putting her nutrition background to work (B.S and M.S.) she began a lifelong study of nutrition, holistic wellness, and functional medicine, and since has helped many people get well and lose weight using mineral balancing, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
How to Make it Through the Holidays
Like many people who find careers in natural health, Veronica experienced her own health problems that led her on a quest for better health. A huge discovery for her was that her stress levels contributed to some of the hormone imbalances she had.
Your body holding onto heavy metals and other minerals also contribute to hormone imbalances. This is one of the reasons Veronica encourages everyone to have their blood tested for mineral imbalances. You should make sure you’re regularly getting tested, as well, to monitor your mineral levels.
With the holidays coming up, Veronica shares her best tips for making it through the season without gaining weight. Start with having a plan to get you through any holiday parties, make sure you stick to a healthy eating routine, and try not to eat carbs first thing in the morning!
The Problem with Gluten, Dairy, and Sugar
Veronica and I also discuss some of the foods that can contribute to mineral and hormone imbalances. Gluten is a big one that we recommend everyone avoid because of how inflammatory to our gut it is. Gluten is one of the leading contributors to digestion and gut problems as we get older.
But it’s not just gluten we should limit. Veronica explains why we should avoid dairy products and sugar to help balance our hormones. She gives some excellent advice on how we can substitute gluten, dairy, and sugar to get similar flavors without the inflammatory reactions.
Veronica also talks about her 80/20 rule. She suggests that you pay attention to the cues your body gives you and stop eating when you’re 80% full. This way, you don’t overeat and you’re not left feeling sluggish after a meal.
Have you already given up gluten, dairy, or sugar? If so, what benefits have you found? If you haven’t removed them from your diet, what’s keeping you from making the change? Let me know in the comments below!
